BIGGEST SIZE EVER MADE
For the serious Collector: Hand made, hand signed, Marc Lalique masterpiece.
Images 2, 8, 9 and 10 of this listing are from the internet to illustrate the design of the bottle enclosed in this sealed, never-tampered with perfect presentation which is of Museum level perfection.

PHOTOS OF THE BOTTLE APPEARING IN THIS LISTING ARE CULLED FROM THE INTERNET: THE PRESENTATION YOU ARE BIDDING ON IS FULLY SEALED, INCLUDING ITS OUTSIDE HARD CARDBOARD "SHELL" TO PROTECT ITS SHELL PINK PAPER WRAPPING: SOMETHING I HAVE NEVER SEEN IN 40 YEARS OF COLLECTING.

THE BIGGEST SIZE EVER PRODUCED OF THE MAGNIFICENT LALQUE HEART "Coeur-Joie" Presentation, sealed; Nina Ricci's first perfume, Bottle designed and made by Marc Lalique, with Art Direction by Christian "Bébé" Bérard. The perfume, a celebration of the liberation of Paris, was launched in 1946, and it was created by legendary perfumer Germaine Cellier: It was her first post-war creation.
The Osmothèque in Paris has on display every size ever made of this bottle except this size: If I do not sell it, I will donate it to their permanent collection, as it is a true museum piece, with the flacon itself being a work of art impossible to be reproduced today, with it's hollow inner part. The main thing that sets it apart from later versions is the pointed dip in the middle of the inner opening: Later versions lacked this pronounced dip, so their shape was more of a spade, and less of a heart: This is the quintessential example of this legendary design by Marc Lalique, with Art Direction by Christian "Bébé" Bérard.
Obvioulsy, this is the only one on ebay, and possibly the only one anywhere, for I have searched high and low to find one of this size and come up with nothing other than old catalogues from Paris auctions. The empty bottle took 2000 Euros at the most recent one.
The only trace I can find of this perfume bottle is from a live auction at Marché Paul Bert in Paris, The single, boxless and dry bottle sold for 2000 Euros, empty, with no box (last photo of this listing is from that auction)
This item is that bottle, still sealed in box and with protective outer box (I've never seen any Nina Ricci presentation of this age maintain that outer hard cardboard shell that protects the paper wrap of the original packaging)
The photos you see on this listing that show the bottle are pulled from the internet to illustrate it. The main difference here is it's size: In all my years collecting fragrances I have never seen this size in real life, but I do own this one, which I have never opened: Typically the sizes were limited to 1/2oz, 1oz, and I believe there was a 1.3oz. "Coeur-Joie" means "Heart's Content" in French, and this perfume was launched at the Liberation of Paris in 1946. The perfume was created by legendary nose Germaine Cellier.
It is hard to put a date of this presentation, as it must date pretty early for it to be in this size: The bigger sizes were ceased production by the late 1950's. I don't know the date of the presentation, but it would be at latest around 1960.
